This kitchen needed some work !! We were called in to increase the efficiency, function and appearance of a kitchen that had been added in the mid fifties judging by the materials and cabinets used . . .
Our client purchased their 85 year old brick French Colonial style home in Guilford and wanted to update the retro style of her kitchen. The kitchen had painted white cabinets original to the house with a shallow pantry built-in nook and an eat-in area with desk beyond.
The refrigerator was placed clumsily in the room, but located conveniently next to a side door where the client brought groceries in. There was a good amount of travel distance from the sink to the refrigerator and really no prep surface in between, aside from a much loved small wood block . . .
Our client purchased their 100 year old Roland Park home approximately six years ago. After doing roofing and deck work for them over the years, our client decided to enlist our kitchen remodeling expertise.
The small, outdated kitchen was located at the back of the house. An un-insulated closed-in mud room acted as an extension of the kitchen by housing a second refrigerator and some storage. An exterior wall incorporating a double-hung window and exterior door separated the closed-in porch from the kitchen . . .
Our client purchased their seventy-six year old masonry Tudor style home in Homeland and wanted to update and expand the size of their kitchen.
Most new projects come from existing clients. This project came after a two story addition done for the customer in 2001, which added a new family room, master bedroom, bath and screen porch. In 2006, a larger kitchen and a more open floor plan was needed for th e family in Stoneleigh.
Conveniently located in the historic district of Mt. Vernon of Baltimore City, our clients bought their two bedroom, two bath apartment from a lawyer who was using it as his office.
